Another thing that makes me think about slinky and whether she may have been inbred. beside the fact she is missing a nipple which could only be a birth defect
is that she is very small considering she is around 1 1/2 - 2 years old she is less than half the size of cooper who is only 8 months old
(coopers now bigger than in this photo)
she also drinks ALOT of water compared to my other two which can be a sign of kidney failure or diabetes
im just been bit of a paranoid parent i want her to live a happy life now that we rescued her from her hopeless first owners i dont want to have to worry about problematic issues with her down the track if she was inbred (ive been asked if she is a marshall ferret…she isnt because im in australia)
Slinky just a weird ferret in general she will be running around like crazy jumping and dooking then just stop and will be staring into space for a bit then continue on what she was doing
She is constantly shaking too, you hold her and she just vibrates and about 90% of the time her tail is bushed up.
ok i have a question for some ferret people. this is Slinkys belly
its shaved because she got desexed a month ago. i was putting a cream on her little rash she has gotton from her belly rubbing on the ground when i noticed she is short a nipple.
and i got curious and cant find anything online about it, is this just a birth defect, or a sign of inbreeding? or something else?
